MEDIAMORFOSIS DALAM PERSPEKTIF ETIKA KOMUNIKASI ISLAM: STUDI LITERATUR

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi telah membawa masyarakat pada fase mediamorfosis, sebuah evolusi di mana media konvensional tidak sekadar mati, melainkan bertransformasi menjadi bentuk-bentuk baru yang lebih kompleks. Di balik efisiensi teknologis ini, muncul persoalan etis yang krusial, seperti kaburnya batas antara kebenaran dan kebohongan serta pergeseran nilai dalam interaksi sosial digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri bagaimana prinsip-prinsip etika komunikasi Islam merespons fenomena mediamorfosis tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif. Penulis menghimpun berbagai literatur terkait teori mediamorfosis Roger Fidler dan literatur etika komunikasi Islam, kemudian melakukan sintesis untuk menemukan landasan filosofis yang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Hasil tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa mediamorfosis sering kali memicu "krisis etika" karena kecepatan teknis tidak dibarengi dengan kematangan moral pengguna media. Dalam perspektif Islam, evolusi media seharusnya tidak mengubah substansi pesan yang harus berlandaskan pada prinsip Qaulan, Tabayyun, Amanah. Penelitian ini menawarkan konsep "Mediamorfosis Berbasis Etika (MBE)" sebagai navigasi bagi masyarakat Muslim dalam menghadapi perubahan medium komunikasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun bentuk media terus berubah (mediamorfosis), etika komunikasi dalam pandangan Islam bersifat tetap (tsabit) dan harus menjadi filter utama dalam memproduksi maupun mengonsumsi informasi di era digital.
